The Weekly Grind - November 28th, 2022 Newsletter
We hope you had a good holiday. Most of our family wasn't able to make it to Thanksgiving this year so we had more of a 'friendsgiving' and since we basically live at the cafe, we didn't have time to clean the house so... we hosted at Critical Grind.
With Troy Schools out last week, Dana was able to take a day to goof around with Saphira.
Got the kiddo's ear's pierced at Constable Tattoo Parlour, played around at the Aurora Mall, went to see Wakanda Forever, and took the husband and kid out for their belated birthday dinner at Osaka.
<-- Kinda diggin' this hat!
This Friday, December 2nd, our Theme Night is "All Things Firefly." We'll be playing assorted
Firefly themed games. You don't need to know the show or movie, Serenity, to enjoy these games... but it does make it better.
If these aren't your cuppa mudders milk, the library will still be open to play anything you'd like.
A group of tabletop wargamers has decided to make Critical Grind their new home. Although their initial date of December 10th had to be cancelled, they will be rescheduling agaim soon. They will be hosting games for A Song of Ice & Fire and Dust 1947. They are very welcoming of new players. Should you be interested in learning either of these games, stop by and join in the fun. Keep an eye out on our calendar for updated dates.
If this isn't your thing, our game library of now 500+ games will still be available to anyone.
Starting in December, join us on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at Flight Tasting Room & Bottle Shoppe in Yorkville. They have over 200+ craft beers, meads, wines, ciders, and craft sodas. Occasionally they have food trucks on-site as well. We are excited to be bringing Game Nights to Flight and we hope you'll come out and invite your friends.
This event is for all ages and free to attend, though we do ask that you purchase something from Flight.
