The Weekly Grind - October 19th, 2026 Newsletter
Updates:
Critical Grind is a community. We are a gaming event company, yes. And over the last 4 years we've been a cafe, a community hub, a general event company, a safe space, and more. But even with the closure of 852 Sharp Dr Units L & K, in 6 days, we will still be a gaming event company, and even more importantly, we will still be a community.
Our roaming gaming events are already being scheduled. Some of our regularly scheduled programs will have new homes. Partnerships with local businesses and organizations are providing us with more variety, and a way to highlight other supportive places. Some of these events will be free, and others will come with a fee. This will all depend on the space's policies and allowances.
The cafe closes in 6 days. This Sunday, October 25th is our big party. Please join us.
Stay connected on our Discord, Social Media, or Email List.
If you're on our Patreon, I understand if you decide to downgrade while things are in transition. Your support over these years has been appreciated.
I'm still figuring out the logistics for game rentals, but we will be bringing those back.
The website will get a rehaul soon.
Will we get a new location, yes. At some point. I'm not sure where, or what it will look like but the plan is to reopen in a space that works better for us, with all of our goals in mind. The only way we can get there is through continued support in the interim.
Love you!
Dana
