I may be on vacation, but I'm still determined to get this out to you each week.

SHE DID IT!!!
Jay Borsom, our dear friend and partner has successfully reached her goal of breaking the Guinness World Record for longest trivia game as a Quizmaster. After 36 grueling hours, Jay has done it! We are so proud of her and grateful to have been a part of this monumental occasion for her. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated! It would not have been possible without the support of the players. To that end, Jay's livestream raised a total of $6,000 for TransLifeline and I gotta do the specific math when I get home but Critical Grind raised over $600 for Tabletop Gaymers in ticket sales.

Last Week's Recap

If you listened to last week's episode you heard me introduce my sister and a little bit about her journey and career now. This one is a little bit of silliness. After we were done recording we were goofing around and still chatting so, I just hit record again. Since I'm on vacation right now with our mom, it seemed like perfect timing. We're calling it, Sister Time Bonus Content.
Available on Spotify, Podbean, and Apple Podcasts.

I went on vacation with my daughter, Saphira, to drop her off with my mom & step-dad in Texas. We had a great trip swimming, touring the U.S.S. Lexington, going on a pirate ship cruise, visiting the Gulf, and spending time together.
But I would like to give a very special thank you to my husband, Shaun, and our incredible staff, Ash, Rudy, Ky, Ava, and Sean, for handling everything while I was gone. This past weekend was not just an endurance test for Jay, but for our staff. And they handled it. On top of a double TCG Tournament Night on Friday, they were there, rotating shifts, for almost 40-hours straight from Saturday morning to Sunday night (including getting there early to open and staying after close to clean up) Stepping up when people needed back-up, keeping coffee flowing, and getting it all done. I am very grateful for each and every one of them for their hard work and dedication, every day... but especially in the last week. I appreciate all of them (Ava & Sean missed the photo memos but I appreciate them too)
